Cable Length
Cable length is specified by the length of cable cut prior to assembly. A short length of the cable will be concealed by the connectors. Patch cables and cables with right angle connectors will meet specified lengths when measured tip to tip, with shafts held parallel. That’s a mouthful, so here’s a crude diagram:
Lifetime Warranty
Doc’s Basement Custom Cables are fully warranted against defects in materials and workmanship with a lifetime guarantee. If your product fails due to a manufacturing defect we will repair it without charge. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper care, negligence, or normal wear and tear. Doc’s Basement recommends ONLY wrapping cables using an over-under technique. Products are eligible for warranty to the original owner, for the lifetime of the product. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs.
Love your cables, and they will love you back for years to come!
Shipping
All cables are made to order and are built and shipped promptly. Most orders ship within three business days. Shipping times are not guaranteed and can vary based on demand and other factors. Orders weighing under 16 ounces typically ship USPS First Class; orders over 16 ounces ship USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate. Orders will be confirmed upon shipping. Charges for shipments outside of the US must be assessed manually and will vary based on weight and destination. Shipping times may be delayed in the rare event that a custom part is out of stock, or around peak holiday times. Doc’s Basement is not responsible for any customs fees or import taxes imposed on international shipments.
Merch orders are made to order and fulfilled directly by our print-on-demand partners, Printful. All of Printful’s policies can be found here.
Returns
At Doc’s Basement’s discretion, standard (unmodified) cable builds may be returned in brand new condition within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, excluding shipping costs. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs. As every cable is custom built to order, custom length cables and connector configurations are not eligible for return or exchange. Returns cannot be accepted based on erroneous planning, measurement, or ordering on the part of the buyer.
